Kaycee's Wedding

Sorry, this is a long post but I have lots of pictures to share. This weekend I got to go home and see my best friend from high school get married. Kaycee and I were attached at the hip in those days, and although the years have taken us miles apart (mostly on Kaycee's part from all her travels), we still remain lifelong friends, of which I'm so thankful for. Kaycee was in my wedding 9 years ago and now I got to share in her day. She asked me to be the designated hair dresser for her bridesmaids and flower girls. Ah she knows me well and how I love to do that.

Karilynn's do. We joked about her having an 80's double ponytail (she has a smaller one under the big one because she had too much hair to put in one), and I told her not to judge until she saw the end product. No one could tell.

Our other high school friend, Jenn, brought her twin girls, Kennedy and Taylor, because Kaycee hadn't met them yet. Kennedy thought Kaycee was a princess.

The wedding was held at Kaycee's parent's home. They have beautiful grounds and a huge home, perfect for an outdoor wedding.

When asked to give the rings, Karilynn pulled a myriad of things out of her pockets.

11 weeks

Here's me now at 11 weeks. Starting to get a bit wider in the midsection. Hey, at least I can still get my regular jeans on, just no belt anymore. And thank goodness I'm starting to feel better. Almost done with the first trimester. Woo hoo!

Soccer Players

Both of the kids are in soccer this summer. We wanted to get Reagan into some sports since she's watched and supported her brother for the past couple years. They're both doing so well. It's fun to watch your kids enjoying themselves.
Reagan's not quite as competitive as Ethan is. She mostly trots after her teammates. But in this game she did score two goals (at this age level they don't have goalies). She's so proud of herself being on her team, the Orange Popsicles (my idea, BTW).


Here's Mr. Ethan hustling along to get the ball. What a difference one year makes. He played soccer a year ago and had fun but didn't really get the ball control or just to keep going to the goal once he had the ball. Not so anymore. In this game he scored 4 goals! He's running hard, carrying the ball, handling it well and following through. I'm very impressed with how well he's doing. Go Grey Wolves!

Can I Handle This?

Yes, it's true. We are on board for adding to the Faust Fam. Tomorrow I'm officially 8 weeks pregnant and sooooo feeling it. Is it cuz I'm over 30 (ahem, 30 1/2), because that's my husband's excuse. This pregnancy has been totally different than the other two. I'm very nauseous, I have major smell and food aversions, and very strong cravings. I hope it only lasts the first trimester. So here's my first pregnant belly pic. Goodbye to flat stomachs for awhile. I'm not in denial, I get BIG! And yes, I feel like I'm already showing!

Here's to you, Nick. Our kids are so blessed to have you as their daddy. What a wonderful gift you given me, to see you with our children and how much they love and adore you. Thank you for being a positive example to them of what a loving father should be. I love you very much!

Mini Vacay!

We took our first little vacation of the summer to...you guessed it... Cannon Beach, OR. It's simply our favorite little place ever and so close that it makes a great little getaway for us. Here's some highlights from our trip.

The kids wanted to spend some of their hard earned money at "donut world" (aka: Krispy Kreme).

So here's a little side note. Nick said he wanted to drop by The Shane Co. on our way out of town because we'd been discussing getting me a new wedding set. We went in talked with a lady that he'd been working with on the phone. They pulled the wedding band they'd discussed and then let me look for the engagement ring part. After looking the woman comes back out with a wrapped gift box and has Nick gives it to me. The wedding band part was already paid for and he gave it to me as a surprise gift for our anniversary next week. The diamond ring we put on a 12 month layaway for next year, our 10 year anniversary. I'm always telling Nick that I love being surprised and I guess this time he listened. This picture isn't very good but you can get the idea. There's no center stone in the middle yet but it'll be a round stone.

There was alot of bed jumping going on. My sister and I always used to do this when we were kids and we'd stay in motels. It's half the fun.

Ethan Graduates Kindergarten!

Our little guy has finally graduated...Kindergarten. Here's a recap of Ethan's last days at Cornerstone Christian School.
