We're getting closer

I am now about 33 1/2 weeks preggo! Ugh, feels like 55 weeks. But we're in the home stretch now, I can feel it. Christmas and New Year's are over, those were my mileposts. As of my last appointment I've gained about 33 pounds (not a number I'm proud of but it could be worse). And unfortunately, our little one has decided to hang out in the breech position. My doctor gave me some exercises to do to try and turn her around. If that doesn't work then my doctor will try and manipulate her to turn. And if that doesn't help, then I may have to have a C-section. It's not the worst thing in the world, but I've greatly enjoyed having my kids the other way and I'd like to do the same with this one. However, in the end, as long as she and I are safe and healthy, that's all that really matters. I'll keep you posted...

I hope baby turns for you. Someone I know said the doctor trying to turn the baby is painful.

I hope she turns for you as well. but if she doesnt csections are not all that bad..I had two of them and Im fine. Now to work on the weight since my baby is 8 and 1/2 years now..lol. By the way, you still look beautiful being preggo.

An old Doula trick is to put a flashlight on your abdomen and guide the baby's head down towards your cervix. This only works if he/she is awake - but I've heard they like to follow the light. Doing the excercises your doctor recommended will help too.

Hello! I found your link through my sister in law Sam's blog. I just wanted to encourage you that I had a breech baby turn somewhere between 35 and 37 weeks pregnant. You would think that I would know the exact moment he turned but I didn't. I spent weeks feeling my belly, trying to decifer his position (this was baby #2 for me) and didn't know until my OB confirmed for me. The only tool I used was prayer. I asked God to protect us and if that meant a c-section than I wanted to be okay with it. My first was a c-section and I had been down that road before. As you already know there are many tools you can use to turn a breech baby and in all likelyhood, they will work or your baby will just decide to turn on her own. Good luck, happy turning, and God bless! - Heather
