6 Weeks Old

Jordan is now 6 weeks old and growing day by day. As you can see, she's not malnourished. :) I feel like I'm feeding her all day long. She seems to be a light sleeper during the day unfortunately but is going 6-7 hours at a stretch at night for me. She's also now in her crib in the room she shares with Reagan. Yay!

As for me, I'm gradually feeling like my old self. I'm able to work out at the gym more and last night I stepped back onto the soccer field in almost a year. I still have a long way to go but I'm just trying to set small, achievable goals at this time.

One Month

Yes, Jordan is already one month old. Here's what we've accomplished in that amount of time. Our umbilical chord came off at about 8 days, yay. At 5 days she slept 6 hours at night, but that hasn't happened again, oh well. She had a 2 week check up and weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces, so not quite up to birth weight. She's breast feeding so well, and has had a bottle about 3 times when mommy just didn't have anything else to give. We've found that broccoli and possibly large amounts of cow's milk give her gas and make her cranky, not fun. I think we've found a sleeping pattern. There are 3 naps a day, a nice long one in the middle, and she sleeps about 4 hours at night then gets up every two. She's still sleeping in a bassinet in our room but has been taking naps in her crib. I'm waiting for her to sleep a little longer at night so I don't have to get up so much to feed her. And we've graduated from newborn diapers to size one. She's getting bigger but I don't quite know her exact weight. Jordan is a sweet joy and addition to our family. Ethan and Reagan are so wonderful with her. They don't get in her face or overdo it with the affection. We love our little peanut.

"Watch, Mom!"

Yesterday turned out to be fairly nice. The kids needed to exert some energy so while out running errands, I made an impromptu stop at a local park. They had a blast, being the only kids there. It's nice to surprise them like that and they had fun. The favorite line of any child is, "Watch, Mom, watch!" I remember saying that to my mom too when I was a child, too. Poor Mom. :) Jordan was less than enthusiastic, sleeping the whole time in her carseat. And I enjoyed my view from the bench with my soy chai! I'm trying to appreciate our simple pleasures.

Springtime

Spring is definitely in the air! I love the first blossoms, they're so beautiful. And our sweet little Baby Jordan is just over 3 weeks old. How is that possible? So far she's been to the doctor once for her 2 week checkup and was the picture of health, although one ounce short of her birthweight still, but she's eating great. She's had her fussy moments, I think mostly in part to some broccoli mommy ate! Oops! That was not a fun day. She's sleeping between 3 and 5 hours at a time at night, so I'm still pretty sleep deprived because I'm keeping up with all three of the kids during the day and naps are just a fantasy right now. :)
Today I snapped some shots of Jordan, Reagan and Ethan. I had realized that I was neglecting that and I don't want to miss out on all the precious stages. Here's some cute ones, hope you enjoy!

I like my yummy fists!

My sister and I are good friends. She likes to make me stop crying.
