Ugh I'm terrible!

In all the hub bub of being a busy mom I completely neglected to post that my baby girl turned 1! What a horrible mama! I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. I know that all parents say that, but I really remember Ethan's first year just DRAGGING along, I was so tired and everything was new, I would think, will this ever end? Reagan's went a little faster with dealing with a 2 year and a baby. But it's been different with Jordan. It hasn't gone fast because I'm in a fog, it's gone fast because it's been so great.

Many of my friends ask me how it's been adjusting from 2 to 3 kids and honestly, it's been FABULOUS. Going from 1 to 2 I think was the hardest, or even from zero to 1 is a tough adjustment. But by 3 you kind of already know what to expect, you know you're not going to just "sleep when the baby sleeps" but you're already on a sleep deprived schedule because, let's face it, I haven't slept really soundly since 2003. :) Ha! I think the biggest advantage with my kids has been the age difference. Reagan and Jordan are almost 4 1/2 years apart, so my older kids are already pretty self sufficient. So I have been able to enjoy Jordan like she's my first born without the anxiety of the unknown. She's been a great baby, the kids love her, she nursed (and is now weaned, yesssss), great, eats anything I give her, takes one great nap during the day now and sleeps through the night without a hitch! Don't get me wrong, I've had moments like ALL mommies where I'm pulling my hair out, wondering what I was thinking letting my husband knock me up yet again, and just wanting to escape, but all in all, I'm so thankful we took a shot and added number 3! So here's to you, my STILL strawberry blonde beauty, Happy 1st Birthday! Mommy loves you! Muah!!!!!
